Florence Hartmann (born 1963 in France) is a French journalist and author of several investigative and journalistic works. For eleven years she worked for the leading French newspaper Le Monde, for which she reported on the events that preceded the war in the former Yugoslavia, as well as on the war itself. She was a spokeswoman and advisor to the prosecutor at the International Tribunals for the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda. Now as a writer she continues to analyze international politics and defend human rights. She is the author of four books: Milosevic, la Diagonale du fou / Milosevic: The Diagonal of a Madmen, Paix et Châtiment / Peace and Punishment, Lanceurs d’alerte, les Mauvaises Consciences de nos Démocraties / Whistleblowers: The Impure Conscience of Our Democracies, and Le Sang de La Realpolitik: L’Affaire Srebrenica / Blood of Realpolitik: The Srebrenica Affair.
