Ahmed Burić was born in 1967 in Sarajevo. Poet, prose writer, translator. His work has been published in the most important media of Southeast Europe. His texts were translated into German, English, Czech, Slovenian, French, Spanish. He published poetry books Bog Tranzicije (2004), Posljednje suze nafte i krvi (2010), Maternji jezik (2014), Vrata raja (2016) Hipertenzija (2017), Java (2019), short stories Devet i po (2016), novel ebi šega što se zovem Donald (2017) and the book Nekrolog jednoj epohi (2023). Author of the book of essays (columns) Od Ivana do Azize (“Ni na webu, ni na zemlji.). He has been working as a professional journalist for more than 30 years; he has worked or collaborated with all the major media in Southeast Europe that promoted the ideas of civil society and freedom of speech. He lives in Sarajevo.
