Kruno Lokotar

Kruno Lokotar (Daruvar, 1967) graduated in comparative literature, history and librarianship at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. He was one of the selectors and the only leader of the FAK (Festival of Literature). From 2002 to 2007, he was the editor-in-chief of AGM, when he received the Kiklop award for the best editor for the first time. He established the awards Na vrh jezika (for poetry) and Prozak (for prose) for authors under 35 years of age, and started the festival Prvi Prozak na vrh jezika. In the period 2007–2015 he worked as an editor of local and regional fiction and non-fiction in the publishing house Algoritam. With Emir Imamović Pirke he started Fališ (Festival of Alternative and Left Šibenik), then passed it on to good hands, together with KaLibar bestival. He also launched the world's first Prize for literature on social networks – Post scriptum. He largely conceived, designed and coordinated the Fric Award for the best prose book. As a freelancer and external editor, he works for several publishers. From 2024, he works again at AGM, which has since become part of the Zagreb holding, as editor-in-chief.
