Predrag Finci

Predrag Finci (Sarajevo, 1946) graduated from the Drama Studio in 1969 and briefly worked as an actor. He studied philosophy in Sarajevo and Paris (under Mikel Dufrenne). He spent some time studying in Freiburg (under Werner Marx). He received his master's degree in 1977 and his doctorate in 1981. He was a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo until 1992. Since 1993, he has lived in London, where he worked as a freelance writer and visiting researcher at University College London until his retirement in 2011. He is a member of the Writers' Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, P.E.N. of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo), the Exile Writers Ink organization (London) and the Croatian Philosophical Society (Zagreb). His books and texts have been translated and awarded. He has published twenty-five books.
