Marina Katnić-Bakaršić(1960, Sarajevo) is a full professor at the Department of Slavic Languages ​​and Literatures and at the Department of Comparative Literature and Information Sciences of the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo and at the Department of Dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. She was the head of the Postgraduate Studies in Linguistics at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo and the first head of the Doctoral Studies in Linguistics at the same Faculty. On several occasions she was the head of the Department of Slavic Languages ​​and Literature of the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo; from 1994–1996. she was the vice-dean of the Faculty of Philosophy. In 2018, she was elected as a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Department of Humanities. She has published twelve books, one electronic and two co-authored, as well as two textbooks and two Russian language manuals for elementary school, also co-authored. Her most significant books are GradacijaStilistikaStilistika dramskog diskursaIzmeđu diskursa moći i moći diskursa, and Suvremena tumačenja književnosti - co-authored with Hanifa Kapidžić Osmanagić, Zdenko Lešić and Tvrtko Kulenović. She is the author of over one hundred and seventy scientific and professional papers, translations and presentations, which she published in various domestic and foreign magazines, anthologies and newsletters. She is the winner of several awards, of which the international award "Grozdanin kikot" for drama education in 2008 is particularly significant, as well as the award of the University of Sarajevo for the most successful professor of the Faculty of Philosophy in 2010/2011 and the "Dr. Razija Lagumdžija" award of the Academy of Performing Arts for pedagogical and scientific work in 2012/2013.
